I've been all sorts of efficient today.

- Drove into the city so I could get myself a letter from the university saying that, yes, I am indeed enrolled for 2002 so I can now receive my scholarship money
- Renewed my Real Groovy card which I lost
- Got my sunglasses remolded so they no longer fall off my face
- Cancelled my lost Eftpos card and applied for a new one at the bank.

AND I had sushi for lunch. Life is grand.

Have been researching Melbourne expenses. It is suspiciously expensive. I can get to Sydney for under $400, but Melbourne is just under $700. Outrage. We will slum it in the backpackers accomodation, though. If we don't go during school hol's we may come out of it a-ok. (yay!imsoexicted!)

Have also been fighting a losing battle with my semester 1 timetable. A friend has a FREE CARPARK in the AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY AREA so i'm trying to take advantage of her. I hate the fucking bus. If I take one women's studies paper on top of my studio time and leave it at that... i'll be ok. But if I do any more i'm taking the bus more than i'd like.

I'll mull it over.

workworkwork for the next three days. Oh what a barrel of laughs. I spent all yesterday pricing 5cent exercise books. They've obviously selling as I price them. People are crazy thrifty buggars. I hate back to school. It's worse than Christmas. Mothers are dragging whiny kids along with them as they buy way-too-much stationary and then they get all irate at me cause they have to shell out loads of money. And it's HOT.

I bought some jandals today though - for $5! And we got Nori and a new sushi mat from the supermarket so that will provide fun in the kitchen.

Time for a change. It has become too much to write in my old lj when I realise I can bump into any number of the people on my "friends" list the next day. That's far too dodgy for me to deal with.

I go back to work on Thursday after a week off... which was very nice and allowed me to get a bit of sun... when it wasn't raining. Ahh, how I love New Zealand summers. Concentrated saving: I owe Mum a computer payment and i'm hoarding for the proposed-but-not-exactly-official Melbourne trip. I fucking hate money. Especially since the NZ$ is worth significantly less than the AUS$. Oh woe is fucking me. Have also been trying to sort out what papers I want to take this semester. I am no longer relegated to Art History. I can branch out... i'm so excited.

BDO: was okay. It rained and then it was miserable. Gerling were fantastic and I must go out and buy their album. Regurgitator were hilarious. Pluto, The White Stripes, and Shihad were great. Alien Ant Farm sucked and made utter fools of themselves by trying to endear us to them by mentioning their trip to Piha and a few local bands. They had no clue, and we knew it. The audience looked amazing during Prodigy's set. Amazing. Everyone was dancing. In the rain. Fantastic.
